MICHAEL SEGGIE / DIRECTOR
Michael, from Carlisle, joined the Royal Navy after completing his education, embarking on a promising career. However, Michael had to transition back to Carlisle, where he sought new opportunities. Michael’s professional journey began in the motor trade, where he gained valuable experience working with renowned brands like Citroen and Audi. His passion for business and commitment to transparency led him to establish his first venture in 2017. This entrepreneurial spirit has been a driving force in his career.
In 2023, Michael took a significant step by purchasing into Lakes Estates, a decision rooted in his belief that transparency is essential for successful business practices. He is dedicated to fostering a culture of openness and trust within the organisation, ensuring that clients receive the highest level of service and integrity.
Michael is a devoted family man, happily married with four children who keep him on his toes. Balancing the demands of family life with his professional aspirations, he finds joy in their activities and cherishes the time they spend together. In his spare time, he is an avid supporter of Carlisle United, holding a season ticket and attending every home game.
GLENN HOWARD / DIRECTOR AND VALUER
Born and raised in Carlisle, Glenn began a career in property over a decade ago. His calm demeanour and passion for people ensure colleagues and clients alike feel comfortable entrusting him with such life changing decisions.
Glenn has developed a reputation as a skilled valuer and negotiator who is honest, transparent and hard working, ensuring his clients get the very best outcome on every occasion. Respect is something he is passionate about and he will take the time to understand all your needs making a very stressful process hassle free.
Outside of work Glenn likes to spend time with his family, loves participating in sport, fell walking and exploring the lakes. He’s also a keen follower of Manchester City and loves attending matches on the weekends he manages to escape from work!
ROB ANDERSON / DIRECTOR AND VALUER
Born and raised in Penruddock and growing up in neighbouring Greystoke & Matterdale, Rob is a North Lakes expert with intrinsic knowledge of the area. He has a real skill for finding the right home for buyers by ascertaining their needs and wants. He has a tenacious attitude and a track record of valuing and negotiating on some of the most complex properties which, at times, have required his expertise in property development. Integrity is really important to Rob and working in a way which is fair and transparent is one of his most fundamental beliefs.
Outside of work Rob spends time with his lovely wife Emma, renovating property and herding their two young daughters Ada and Esther. He loves all sport, still actively playing football and golf in his spare time.
HANNAH PICKTHALL / OFFICE MANAGER
Hannah, from Penrith, is the Office Manager here at Lakes Estates. Hannah has a friendly and warm personality with a can-do attitude and always strives to give her clients the very best customer service. Having worked in management and customer service for the duration of her working life, she is ready to bring her experience and passion for excellence to estate agency in the Lake District.
In her spare time Hannah enjoys spending time with her husband Dan. She also enjoys exploring new countries and learning new languages.
EMMA ANDERSON / MARKETING MANAGER
Em, born in Penrith and raised on the outskirts of Carlisle, is our Marketing Manager, spending a majority of her time visiting our new properties to prepare them for market. She photographs, films, edits, writes up and creates content for all of our listings and advertisers as well as keeping our social media profiles and website up to date!
Outside of work Em loves spending time with her husband and two daughters and loves doing anything creative! She is also kept busy renovating her home and looking after her 10 chickens, 3 dogs, 1 cat and 2 guinea pigs!
